Bel-Air Hotel & Equestrian Club Ashford, Co. Wicklow
It is situated in the center of 200 acres of farm parkland. It features a cross country course, outdoor arena and miles of forest trail. The Bel-Air is also the venue for hunts, horse trials and shows. Twenty 4-star luxurious, semi -detached homes built in the old walled orchard are adjacent to the Hotel and Equestrian Club. Each house has 3 bedrooms, a spacious lounge and a large well designed kitchen. A timber balcony is positioned to absorb the morning sun. These accommodations are perfect for a family or group that would like privacy. 8 day - 7 night Coast and Country Equestrian Package including accommodations, meals , 18 hours of riding and weekly car rental are from $1299. per person - double occupancy. This package is available to riders over 14 years of age with at least 40 hours riding experience during the last 18 months. Itinerary Day 1 Arrive at Dublin Airport. After passing through customs, pick up your reserved Group B car from HERTZ, FUNTREK”S car hire partner. Travel south approximately 1 hour, through the County Wicklow countryside, which is know as the Garden of Ireland. You arrive at the Bel-Air Hotel in the afternoon, just in time for traditional Irish tea and hot, fresh scones. The Bel-Air Hotel is a charming county manor- type historic building, set in the centre of 200 acres of family run farm and parkland. Observe the seacoast from the front steps of the hotel. The tradition of hospitality, good food, fine wines and good horse riding instruction has been carried out here for three generations. All bedrooms are ensuite with direct dial telephone, TV, tea/coffee making facilities and hairdryer. After dinner, relax in the Bar located within the Hotel. Day 2 Enjoy a full Irish Breakfast. After breakfast, meet your guide and have a chat about your riding experience . It’s time to saddle up for your riding assessment and go for a guided, short hack. After the morning’s ride, return to the Hotel for lunch. After a short rest, it’s time to head out to the yard & go for your afternoon’s guided ride and hack. After the afternoon’s ride, return to the Hotel and perhaps stop at the Bar and have a drink before dinner. Enjoy a gourmet dinner and afterwards relax at the Bar after your full first day of riding. Days 3 - 7

The Bel-Air is a charming 19th century manor-style hotel and equestrian club. It is the oldest established riding centre in Ireland and UK. The tradition of hospitality, good food and fine wines has been carried by the family since 1937.
Enjoy breakfast, lunch and dinner in a similar fashion. Either ride out on a guided quiet hack, enjoy a lesson in the arena or have a go around the invigorating cross country course.
