Ryder Cup team member Padraig Harrington was first to nail championship status to the Powerscourt mast with his winning of the Irish Professional Golfers Association Championshop on the first tie hole here last year. 1999 victorious Walker Cup Captain Peter McEvoy was responsible for course design and architecture. Apart from the undulating flow of the land, the course routes its way through mature woodlands to glass slick multi - tiered greens.
