Kenmare Golf Club is quite literally an eight iron from the main street. At just over 6000 yards it is short by today's standards, but is none the less a most pleasant and testing course. The first five, and closing three holes overlook the Sound, a beautiful part of Kenmare Bay which stretches the entire length of this section of the course. An exciting feature is the 3rd which plays over an inlet of the bay. Kenmare Town is a heritage town and has a delightfully entertaining collection of shops, restaurants and local crafts.
