A delightful parkland course designed by Philip Walton. There is water on 8 holes most notably on the par four 4th where the Multeen River provides a test of courage if you are to hit the green in regulation. The Multeen has to be negotiated on the 1st, 4th, 8th and 18th holes. County Tipperary Golf and Country Club is only seven years old but its estate setting among countless stands of mature woodlands gives the course an impression of age way beyond its years. Contrary to the famous "…it's a long way" lyric, Tipperary is only about an hour from Limerick, Cork or Waterford. The entrance hall to the 60 bedroomed Dundrum House Hotel and Leisure Centre is but a wedge from the first tee.
