Dave Bucher's interest in cycling in Ireland began in 1985 while interviewing Robert Montgomery Scott, then president of the Philadelphia Museum of Art. Scott had traveled and bicycled all over the world, but when asked what the best place was for cycling he responded unhesitatingly, "Western Ireland." Shortly thereafter he journeyed to Connemara to do a feature story for Bicycle Rider Magazine. He has since returned several times to participate in organized tours.
"It's a comfortable pace, agreeable weather, and there is a different and spectacular vista around every corner. The air is bracing, the Guinness beyond compare and the friendships you'll make in sharing this experience will be lifelong."
When Dave's not cycling in Ireland he runs an advertising and marketing firm and is the founder and organizer of the Mountain Bike Weekend™ Festival in NE Pennsylvania, now in its 17th year.
