The hotel built in 1838, takes its name from the last whaling family in Ireland, and has always been a part of the town's life. Completely refurbished in recent years, it now boasts 19 comfortable en-suite bedrooms. Weaver's restaurant offers the very best in local produce with a strong emphasis on local seafood. The bar and bistro area serves a wide choice of food in a traditional relaxed atmosphere. There is lots to see and do in this region of Donegal - Irelands capital in the manufacture of hand-woven tweeds and handknits. Situated beside a landlocked bay Ardara is within easy reach of unspoilt sandy beaches and spectacular sights such as Maghera Caves, Glencolmcille and Slieve League.
